Sennheiser is back with a brand new, over-ear model from its line of audiophile headphones. The HD 560s is tailor-made for the audiophile on a budget, with a high-end design for just $199.95.
Though the HD560s is priced at a more consumer-friendly level, Sennheiser promises a gratifying, high-resolution performance for the analytical listener. With linear acoustics and exceptional low-frequency performance, the 560s features a natural and accurate reference sound. Their all-new transducer uses a high strength magnet with a 120 Ohm impedance that makes the HD 560s friendly to use with a good amplifier.
The open-back design of the HD 560s integrates the E.A.R. (Ergonomic Acoustic Refinement) angled driver alignment, which recreates the optimal triangular listening position you would find in hi-fi loudspeaker setups and high-end recording studios. This combination creates a wide, articulate soundstage without the need for room treatment, letting you hear the neutral version of your music unaffected by the artifacts of a confined space.
